Who does not want to manage Liverpool?

Brendan Rogers.

Does this say how much we have fallen since our hay days?

I think Rafa Benitez would be the best man to take us back to the heights we were at. Imagine if he could sign back Torres who by the way is currently unhappy at Chelsea according to this article (http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/21/fernando-torres-chelsea-future) and maybe a couple of wingers and defensive midfielder to complement Lucas.

I think that would make us top four contenders again.

I saw yesterday that Salomon Kalou is almost out of contract. That is another good winger that would be good value for money. I think he is a man we could pick up and give some playing time down the right without too much to lose. Currently I am not sure we have a better right winger.

Jarvis after Wolves relegation is another player that deserves a chance at a better team and could be available for a bargain price.

Now that Matt Phillips did not end up getting promoted with Blackpool I am sure he would fancy a move to the premier league and there is another talent that could develop into a top striker or winger. Power, pace and lots to learn. Very different player to Raheem sterling that is coming through in our ranks.

Should congratulate Westham with promotion. Not sure it was deserved based on chances after that play off final but congrats all the same. I think most of us fans would have preferred seeing entertaining football and post match interviews from Ian holloway but over the course of the season one could probably say that the Hammers was the better side and credit should go to Sam Allardyce for taking them back up. I am sure he will make them hard to beat and be allowed to strengthen with the financial clout of David Sullivan and David Gold.

I will have to congratulate Chelsea as well. Impressive that they have mustered a CL win considering their tactics. Much credit must go to Di Matteo after he realised the limitations of their squad and played to their strenghts. They rode their luck a bit at times especially against Barcelona and one wonders what would have happened if Messi would have scored on his penalty. Having said that the character and resilience shown by the team when they were under pressure was impressive. Drogba went out on a bang and noone can argue with his abilities in the lone striker role. Hopefully he retires on a high now... and Torres gets a shout...

Look forward to a summer of a good new manager coming in to LFC, some great summer signings and the owners doing their best to make us supporters believe again.

Would love to hear some comments on who we should sign from others: Adebayor and Tevez perhaps?

YNWA,
Stian
