I read this and thought what a shame. Arsenal would deserve the chance to go for a trophy and spend the cash necessary to do so. One can not blame RVP or Nasri or Clichy for leaving when offered more money and a chance to win trophies. Who wouldn't... The likes of sheared and Gerrard I am sure have some regrets despite being happy and well paid where they were.

The comment made about arsenal becoming a Everton of the south I am sure would hurt some arsenal fans but what occurred to me was that Liverpool is much closer to that level than Arsenal ever were. And that is a credit to Wenger. Despite losing his best players he has replenished and recreated stars.

I personally need to be convinced that Brendan Rodgers is the man to take us back to were we belong.

Financial support was made available to Kenny last year from the owners. Lots of those funds came from selling Torres however which is something many forget.

We will see if they make cash available again this yr. It is crucial to us getting back into the top 4 if you ask me.

Stian
