If he is available we should be alert as well. He is clearly one of the best strikers in the country and in his current form probably the world.
I would still consider Torres and Tevez choices ahead of him though because they have a longer record of scoring goals in England and because they have done it at the big stage over time.
Thing is with the release clause Ba would be by far the cheaper solution. With the new financial fair play rules it has got to be kept in mind.
Would be interesting if we robbed Newcastle for a second time of a good striker. (combined may turn out to be ok if all goes Liverpool and Carrolls way). I presume he would want to go to one of the top 5 clubs.
