I couldn't agree more with Mr. Aldridge on Lucas.

Do not feel the same about Babel. I think he needs to be given more of a chance before we judge him. I also think Babel was a bigger talent than Ngog but has never been given a proper run in the team...

opinions anyone?

For January we need 2 of the 3 following to have a chance to get into top 4:
_______________________________________________________________________________

- A quality striker as a second option - that means better than Ngog or Babel and therefore someone likely worth more than 10m. Gomez (at bayern and almost signed in the summer was an option like that) any other ideas? I think Adebayor could be a guaranteed 15 goals a yr kind of guy but there is a question about morale.

If the new owners really want to make a statement sign Suarez or even Tevez. There has been a lot of disgruntlements around Tevez's situation at man city. Personally I think he might be available if they can recoup their investment and Manchini is willing to let him go.

- A typical winger. maxi has been great but neither him not kuyt are known to be winger types that get around a man and can get a cross in. A type like Bale, Robben or even Matt Jarvis would be briliant. They are quick enough to get around and go past players (kuyt and maxi or cole for that matter is not).

- left back --> Paul Konchesky 29 yrs and is not a top 4 wing back. Wont likely develop to get much better either. Again pace is a problem. Insua was developing and I think he would have only gotten better. He did have a poor end to last season but a good first 20 games.

If Agger does not recover soon we will need a new centre back as well. Unless this Wilson is the talent that everyone in Scotland thinks he is after all. give him some time on the pitch and maybe we can find out. Brede hangelnad or Gary Cahill might be a good option that can be prized away from clubs. It has been known for some time now that Bolton have financial problems and might need to sell.

YNWA,
Stian
