Fabio Borini and Andy Carroll

Striker.. Former clubs Swansea, Chelsea, Roma,

Young, talented, definitely a goal scorer from what I can see in the youtube videos knowing that it will be showing his best moments. Poacher seems to be the first impression I am left with. He has smart movement in and around the box.

Less potent shot than a Defoe so different from him in the poacher sense because he has smarter movement. Borini does not seem to have the power in his legs that Defoe does.

Relatively quick but a slight build.

Interesting that Andy Carroll seems to be thought of as a potential for leaving but I only think we should let him go if we get enough money. That means upwards of £25M. with maybe options for more if he goes on a goal scoring spree. He could be the new Kevin Davis with a lot more skill should Sam Allardyce manage to land him.

I also think he could be useful for us should we keep him but Rodgers must be smart in the way he uses him and he needs to work on his pace. I think that is the main reason Rodgers is looking to offload him. He wouldnt talk about him the way he has if he was dying to keep him which is a bit unfortunate when we are trying to get the most amount of money for him.

I think Andy himself wants to stay.

Borini is not a bad start. Lets hope we land him for less than £10M. He clearly has some skills and some of the runs he makes inside the box others including Carroll could learn from.

YNWA,
Stian
