Rafa has signed a new contract and will most likely be with us until 2014.
I think this is excellent news. This means first and foremost that we are going to have more great European nights at Anfield. Secondly it means we get a certain number of years with stability and the same regime in place meaning that next year we can really push for the title.
I might be in a wee state of Euphoria but one has to appreciate when the Americans have come to their senses and realised that Rafa is the number one factor for success at the club.
He has won us quite a few trophies since he joined us in 2004 and long may it continue. He has made the team better year on year and this year he came close to pushing for the title all the way to the end. He might have even learnt something from the Stoke games, the Arsenal game where we got a 1-1 even though we went one man up with 20 minutes to go. Judging from our victory over Chelsea it looked like he knew that we know we had to push for all 3 pts.
