To me the best centre half in the premier league second half of the season....
Discuss? Are John Terry, Vincent company, Laurent Koshielny, Jagielka, Mertesacker better???
I would probably argue that Arsenals center back pairing was better in the first half of the season but second half Skertel have been the stand out performer.
Give some props to Crystal palace defensively after Pulis came in as well.Go and look at how many goals they have conceded since he took over. Delayney and Scott Dann has been terrific. Puncheon has been great although he has played some games at midfield he was their wing back for the early part of the season.
Ironically he is owned by Southampton who had a terrific season defensively up until the last 10 games where their performances have varied more. Jose Fonte has gotten better, Dejan Lovren has gotten a lot of deserved praise and is a leader at the back. and most of all Luke Shaw at right back who I think should be starting for England at the world cup. He has been that good and hardly has a poor game.
Baines at Everton has come of the boil a bit and stopped scoring goals at the rate he was earlier in the season so considering form I would play Shaw over both Ashley cole and Leighton baines.
Gary Cahill should he be in the discussion, should oldtimer Syvail Distain have a mention or young John Stones at Everton?
Any spurs players? Vertongen, Kaboul or Dawson?
