Signing Micha Richards and Adam Johnson would improvw our squad significantly and I don't believe we would suffer much from letting Borini go so I would hope these rumours are true and it would be amazing if these deals could be done as soon as the transfer window opens in July. It would kickstart our summer.
I still maintain though that where we desperately need to add quality to the squad is at defensive mid and it would help if we could get a top class player like yann m'vila. Partly because Gerrard is getting older and has never has the mentality to perform consistently against weaker sides and partly because Lucas lacks pace and is starting to become injury prone. Stevie G has always been a big time player and I think at this stage of his career we should be able to afford to rest him in certain games and bring him on more often as a sub or playing him the full 90 mins in the games that really matter (vs. Top 6) etc.
