Chris Bascombe articles and some thoughts on Daniel Sturridge

Chris Bascombe is a well informed merseyside journalist who used to work at Liverpool echo and NOTW before it got shut down.

Now he has moved to the telegraph and I constantly forget to read his articles. Here are a few.

Swansea game verdict and analysis

His thoughts on Daniel Sturridge

Interesting thoughts. I think as soon as he may have a run of games out of the team for example if we bring another top striker in and there is more competition for the front places he may get off the boil again. Hopefully Rodgers will continue to look for potential to allow for that not to happen.

I am still keen on Scott Sinclair, another Chelsea talent that has gone missing after he did well for Rodgers (youth team at chelsea then at Swansea). I think he is a real talent and although he has had injuries he may be out of favour at WBA now. Would be worth a chance perhaps if we can get him on the cheap. There was talk of that last season and it would add depth to the forward line.

In any case, there is a big game for us tomorrow and if we want to keep . Most discussions are about Joe Allen starting. I hope he does because he was excellent when he came on against Swansea last week and took more defensive responsibility and looked good on the ball. Coutinho could perhaps get a rest from the start as mentioned in this article.

10.30am MST kick off at St. Mary's. Cant wait. Expect draw 1-1 but hope for better.
