Starting 11 against West brom etc. and expectations for the LFC season

Haha maybe a little hope. Suspect 6th, think 5th is possible. 4th is over-achieving.

After blogging on Joe allen and seeing him in some youtube vids (attached in my blog http://sga555.blogspot.com) I am starting to think we can climb at least two spots higher than last season which is an improvement. If we give playing time to Shelvey, Sterling and Kelly throughout the season without chopping and changing too much I do not think our squad looks that bad. We are however vulnerable to injuries. First 5 games will give a lot of pointers as we are up against tough opposition. 

If Downing starts scoring and assisting this year and if Coates can come in an deputise when Agger gets injured (and he plays well) I think we may have something very good brewing here. We are still short in striking and winger positions. A Scott Sinclair/Matt Phillips type player or a loan of Christian Tello or Adam Johnson or maybe 2 of these would be ideal.

I really hope we limit Carra to very few appearances in the Carling cup only and make him a quasi coach sooner rather than later. I would play both Coates, Martin Kellyl and Danny Wilson before Carra.

Already seen signs in Leverkusen and Gomel that things are starting to go the right way.

Spearing can be let go as well. He will only limit playing time for the likes of Shelvey, Adam, Henderson and maybe one or two others.

Your thoughts? With another signing are we in with a chance for a 4th spot?

Would like to see Sterling on the bench but not sure it would happen unless they want another winger/striker and Rodgers see Henderson as a winger.

Pacheco, Spearing are on the fringes. Same with Joe Cole I think.
