Also think Carroll lacks pace which in Rodgers system is detrimental. If we want to get back to top 4 we need a striker that has it all in the Torres, Drogba and Van Persie mold.

Not that I dont think Carroll can do a job but if his value is over 9M plus dempsey (which I would argue is over 25M) I think we can do better for the same money. That is despite us loosing 10M for him. We overpaid due to Jan.

Do you mind if I paste this convo (the stuff about LFC) on my blog?

One would figure that Carroll is worth about £25M due to age and potential. One would figure Dempsey is worth around £16-18M so if we can get him plus £9M I would grab it in a heartbeat.
