How will Liverpool's new midfield look next season

This a great article from Greg Ruffley on how Liverpool set up and midfield might look next season....

Will be very interesting to see if any more signings come in and if that affects the fact that Mereiles may stay or not (Downing primarily is who I was thinking of since we are bidding for him at the moment).

Wonder how long before we start selling players as well.

Is part of the reason Joe Cole has not got more playing time his lack of mobility. It strikes me that he was never one that covered large distances.

Also I was slightly disapointed we did not see Spearing or Shelvey as  part of the Blackpool deal. They could have used playing time and experience at least for half a season before they would return to Liverpool. Wonder if this is partly due to the local content rule and the requirement that we need to have more domestically develop talent in our squad going forward.

As I mentioend a few times previous seasons. It is starting to get exciting to be a Liverpool supporter again. Are we becomming an attacking force again?

I think it looks that way and I find it interesting that Kenny is adding midfielders that can score goals, as we have lacked that in past seasons. Jordan Henderson, Gerrard, Adam and Mereiles can all nip in with about 5 goals plus if they continue the production from seasons passed.
