Think Prentice is spot on on most things apart from Lampards challenge. The rule is clear. Do not raise your foot in a challenge like that. It will end in a red card. You are seen it being dealt with time and time again in the PL so that we avoid leg breaking... (Cisse, Carragher, Eduardo etc.)
Hope Rafa understands that he needs to keep risking things. This time it kind of made it more or less obvious since Chelsea went down to 10 men. Saying that, Rafa did not opt for offensive subs at the end of the Arsenal game when it was there for the taking. Same against Everton, Wigan and stoke both times this season.
What I find more concerning is the current ownership status at the club. Hope the Americans leave sooner rather than later and give Rafa full control.
Great interview by Mr. Tony Barrett - icliverpool.co.uk main writer on Liverpool FC.
George Gillett: "Why are Liverpool FC fans so angry with me?"
A lot of big news for us this morn... as Keane looks to be heading back to Spurs should he wish to do so. So much for wanting to stay and fight for his spot. To be fair he has not really been given a proper shot but if he stays in this window I think he will.
If we can recuperate 15m or more take and run... He is not worth much more than that and I think we do not need him at present... as long as Torres is fit I think we should spend whatever money we can recuperate on a top class right back or right winger. Kuyt and Arbeloa is not top 4 premier league quality. Kuyt has shown glimpses and have been quality in CL but yesterday he was rubbish.
Robbie Keane set to sign for Spurs - Liverpool FC latest
Arbeloa had a quality game yesterday but could imporve his one on one skills, his crosses and he does simply not have enough pace to compete with the likes of Danny Alves, Boswinga, Sagna or Maicon.
Carra simply is no good back up for Arbeloa and neither is Degen. Do we have any youngsters that can challenge here? Like Insua on the left back or El Zhar on the wings?
