I think we should try to sign this man. Pace, Power and would just need some tactical nouce.
He would strengthen our defense, be an option both centrally and on the right back (which leaves both him and Kelly to be used centrally). Personally I think both possess the physical attributes to be top class centre backs but Martin Kelly is injury prone and would probably prefer right back.
Micha Richards has been injured lots the last few seasons as well but he is worth taking a chance on. He is also a stellar physical talent with as much pace and power as anyone in the PL.
I think he is the better candidate for adding competition to centre back because of Johnson, Martin Kelly and Andre Wisdom who are all good options on the right back.
He could give Agger, Skertel and Toure a run for their money and it would allow us to get Sebastian Coates go out on loan for a year or two to get playing time (say to QPR or Crystal palacee or someone like that). Then he could develop into the player we always knew he was.
This is interesting. I think it was a bit of a nothing offer really. Most agree that Suarez is worth upwards up 40M despite his antics.
When Ronaldo was bought for 80M quid suarez has got to be worth at least 50M in my book.
Personally I still hope he stays...
