Re: Chelsea Game - more opinions

Agreed mate. All those except need to go or at the very least be fringe players I think if we r gonna get back to top4. Maxi first, then lucas drop to the bench or sold. He has not got enough pace to cut it at the highest level, and hence becomes late into challenges or loses the ball at times when a bit of pace wud have done wonders. Can't fault his work rate or effort but one should expect a few more goals from him as well as working on the pace issue.

Ur guess for the team starting on Friday?

Thought on the game, we won, looked confident. 3-5-2 is a new formation and works but Chelsea playing 4-3-3 made agger think he had extra space to dribble and got caught a bit, but I'm a big believer of man to man marking. 3 defenders can hold of Anelka Torres Drogba. Let the other two wing backs drop when they are needed but only if the 3 central mods can't track back that far.

Kuyt is a work horse, not a natural striker, but he has the passion to work for his goals, just doesn't come easy for him. Rather Suarez up front but if we bring Carroll in, who gets dropped from the mid? Lucas? Kuyt? Maxi for sure..

Overall great performance. Nice to see a striker actually work for every ball (kuyt), love that full 100% never quit atitude. Glen didn't have such a great game, but new position again and new formation, give him a break this time.

Suarez little weak on his passing yesterday, but hasn't played in a bit so I don't blame him. Plus he hadnt trained with the team even!

And yes, watch Jonjo, I love Lucas and think he is a decent CM, but Jonjo will eventually be starting.. Just wish he had more of an attacking presence, or was vocal. Looks always so focused and mature (which isn't bad, just like Gerrard, but no smiles or bursts of sprints to score or yelling, yet..)

I could say more but I'll be ranting all day haha, see you soon mate.

Sweet liverpool win today. After a bit of a slow start we dominated. Look forward to Carroll is ready as well and I wanna see more of jonjo. Want him to start for lucas next game. Won't happen tho...

Kuyt was man of the match today and soto was good. Yer thoughts?
