Dear FSG and specifically Tom Werner and John S. Henry,
I am a Norwegian Liverpool fan based in Calgary and was in the best mood of the last 2 yrs when I read on Guardian.co.uk/football and BBC that Suarez was signed. I am more encouraged than ever about the Liverpool future.
That was until I read the article above.... (long term I am still sure you will do the best for the club but...)
The reason I am now writing to you is the guardian article above. We need to do everything in our power to retain Torres at the club at least to the summer.
The main reason is he understands the Liverpool way and he is hard to replace with the same quality and understanding of the club (ref Torres' autobiography)
He needs to be convinced the club will go in the right direction. For that to happen he needs to see and be promised investment in 2 things.
1) squad (enough that we can challenge for title next yr)
2) stadium - so it is a sustainable model.
We need 2 more players before the end of this transfer window for him to be convinced that we are doing point one.
Secondly we need to get to 4.place in the second part of the season or very close.
A statement that could convince is an attempt to sign Morinho as a manager in the summer from Real. Yes he would not be cheap but he has the edge on the manager side.
I am as much as anyone a fan of what Kenny is doing at Anfield presently. He has done everything that has been expected and so much more and he is a winner. He has worked wonders with his new team... but I still think we should go the best in the world on the manager side. (Morinho has also said he would want to move back to England and he would love to "stick it" to Abramovich (the owner at Chelsea), coincidentally the same club trying to sign Torres from us now.
My point is he needs to be convinced Liverpool is going back to the top quickly.

Changing their minds was done with Tevez and Rooney this year. Please do everything in your power to do the same...

He does not know how much he means to Liverpool and he is on fire again playing really well. The last few games have been so encouraging.
The grass isnt always greener on the other side. His family seemed settled and he has got some great mates.
Let him be part of the decisions on who is next to come in... Make him feel like a Liverpool man...
I am begging you... pls do not stop the end of this run...
