well it's not been a boring 2 years anyhow

as always I start with the last owners, Hicks and Gillett who started the rot with their lies and lies about investment etc

clearly this became more of a concern for Rafa who lost focus on pitch matters with the inevitable consequences

Roy, a good coach, was brought in as the Broughton looked to sell the club and we needed a steady hand

With new owners come new ideas - whilst they respect Roy I think they want to put in 'their' mgt team and used results as the inevitable excuse (and we we know RH wasn't the fans' favourite anyhow)

KD is ideal from the owner's perspective as he has got the fans turned round and obviously bought the new owners lots of goodwill

I'd be surprised if he were more than an interim boss (but delighted), but with half a season to go, who knows?

your thoughts?

Agreed on all accounts. Kenny is likely to be temporary.

It got to a point where we needed to make a change and the owners didn't have a clear full time replacement on hand and hence the natural choice was an old ledgend.

What happened in the past is the past. I think Hodgson didn't come in and make enough changes to Rafa's regime and he failed to address the one area that needed addressing before the season (getting Torres a reliable partner). Then the service and the team around him could have been built after that.

I think what Sunday's game showed is that there is some young and talented players coming through and they need to be thrown into the fold in the hope that they at least develop into at least makeshift players.

I still think zorba the greek, konchesky and lucas isn't good for a top four team and will never be good enough. Therefore I would get rid of them.

Maxi would be the next on that list with guys like pachecho, ngog and maybe spearing loaned out and poulsen to either be sold or played.

Jonjo showed enough to get a game here and there. Think he has potential.

Babel needs to be given a run in the team. If we are not going to do that I would let him go for about £10m. Think we were offered 9 last year from Birmingham but turned it down.

Personally I would play Kuyt and Babel up front next game to make a statement to Torres. Don't like how king kenny has supported him so much for his performance against united. Yes, he did not get enough support but he certainly didn't work that hard.

Glen johnson is lacking confidence and I would want to restore that by playing him at right wing for a game or two. He can beat people, it has worked in the past and kelly was brilliant in the last game and deserves to stay in the team.

Lastly the owners need to make one or two marquee signings if they want Torres and Gerrard to be interested again. If not we should cash in on Torres and rebuild.

Here is the signings I would like to see.

Suarez from Ajax
Elia eljero from Hamburg
Samba from Blackburn
Parker from Westham.

YNWA,
Stian
